Indoor Wind Chimes Bring Life to Any Room

The wind is something we often try and avoid. There is a positive to this force of nature, and it can actually bring music to your ears. Wind chimes are magical and although for the most part, we find them outside, indoor wind chimes can add something extra special to your home when placed near a door or a window.

These inexpensive works of wind art come in so many different styles and sizes. The traditional indoor wind chimes that many people are still drawn to consist of a round piece of wood atop several cylinders of aluminum. Once the wind gets a hold of the chime, it starts to sway and sing. This type of chime is sophisticated enough that it can even be placed in an office, so when the door opens, the chime sounds.

There are desk versions of these popular items. They aren't necessarily only for an office though, as they look and sound ideal in a bedroom, or living area too. The difference between these indoor wind chimes and the more traditional ones that are hung up is that in place of the wind, you get to be the driving force behind the chime sounding. A very nice model of this type of wind chime comes with a small cylinder of wood that you gently touch to one of the chimes. Once that chime touches another, you can leave the rest of the work to the device itself. These are actually a perfect gift for anyone who is moving into a new home or office. It's unique and original enough that you can be almost certain it won't be thought of by anyone else who comes bearing gifts.

Another popular design that is ideal for a kitchen is crafted from copper. These come in many different shapes and picking just one is typically hard. Not only do these sound lovely when the window is left ajar and the breeze tickles the chimes, but they also look marvelous. It's amazing to watch a visitor to a home where there is an indoor wind chime by an open window. Their face will instantly light up when they hear the familiar sound of a chime. Although they are likely expecting it to be outside, they are thrilled to see it hanging in a window.

Even if you already have a chime or two out in your garden, consider brining the sound inside. Not only will you get to enjoy the always original tune that the indoor wind chimes produce, but you'll get to soak in its beauty every time you pass by it as well. There's no mistaking that chimes have a relaxing quality to them, so get ready to close your eyes and get lost in their charm.
